My name is Jessica Benson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of CT, A Nationally Certified Counselor, and an Acu-Detox Specialist. I'd be honored to work with you, and help you find clarity during lifes most difficult moments.

MY APPROACH

I utilize a person-centered and strength-based approach to create a safe, supportive space that promotes growth, healing and overall wellness. Sessions are interactive, conversational and collaborative.
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), attachment-based theory and mindfulness-based practices to help you work towards your goals. I am trained in EMDR; an effective and evidenced based treatment modality used to facilitate healing from traumas of all types. I have trained with Postpartum Support International (PSI) to support my interest in working with the perinatal population. I am also passionate about working with adults through various life transitions, including those pursuing careers in the helping profession.
